Co-Presidents David Landau and Ken Williams Are Named To the 40 Most Powerful in Radio

July 31, 2008 – The influence this powerhouse duo wields grew exponentially in June when Dial Global parent company Triton Media acquired Jones Media and added direct oversight of that company's programming to Landau and Williams' list of responsibilities. It's just the latest in a series of savvy moves this executive team has made in taking the company to new heights, building inventory and credibility to become a major network contender.

While he notes that nothing in new in network radio, Landau still advises some caution as local radio looks to embrace the practice. "The more the radio industry protests, the more pronounced the issue will become," he says. "Posting has always been standard operating procedure in network radio and I believe posting that posting should be standard in the major markets. Since the smaller markets are only issued twice a year, it makes posting more problematic." Landau adds, however that charging forward as the business evolves is the only way to improve radio's fortunes. "We believe the way to grow the industry is through investment in programming, people, technology and systems."
